Minnesota's Ben "The Baker" Neumann is set to fight for a world title Friday night at Mystic Lake Casino.

Neumann squares off against Derrick Krantz for the LFA 170-pound title during LFA 12. Krantz took out legend Brock Larson the last time he was in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

LFA 12 is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with the main card going live on AXS-TV at 8 p.m. Tickets still remain through cagetix.com, and they will be available at the door.

AMATEUR UNDERCARD

KAI BRUNK VS ROBIEL TESFALDET

WEIGHT: 125.

RECORDS: Brunk is 5-1, Tesfaldet 4-1.

MN RANKING: Both fighters are from out of state.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "This is a fantastic fight to start off the night. Both guys have fought for us before and both are some of the top amateur 125ers in the Midwest. Kai is very slick on the ground and fun to watch; he's very long, too. Robiel is strong for the weight, and he can grind on fighters. It should be a fun one."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Brunk by second-round submission.

KYLEE MARTIN VS BONNIE STOEHR

WEIGHT: 140.

RECORDS: Martin is 2-0, Stoehr is 2-2.

MN RANKING: Martin is from out of state, while Stoehr is ranked No. 6 in the women's division.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Martin comes to us from Bruce Hoyer's gym in South Dakota; they usually come here with very solid ground games. I've heard very good things about her, she sounds like a legit prospect. Bonnie is one of the tougher ladies in

Minnesota. She gets hit and keeps coming forward. She's very, very strong, and she's worked hard for this fight."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Martin by third-round submission.

SCOTT WRITZ VS BEN ROSS

WEIGHT: 180.

RECORDS: Writz is 5-1, while Ross is 7-1.

MN RANKING: Writz is from out of state, while Ross is No. 7 at 170.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Ross continues to improve every time he's in the cage. He's really taken steps forward in his last few fights, and he's turned into one of the best amateur 170s in the Midwest. He will get a huge test here, though. Writz is legit. He has very heavy hands. This is a fight a lot of people in Wisconsin are talking about; it should be a good one. Both guys have fought for and won titles, so they know how to handle a big fight."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Writz by first-round KO.

YAMAH SADOZAI VS BOBBE DULITZ

WEIGHT: 155.

RECORDS: Dulitz is 6-7, while Sadozai is 3-1.

MN RANKING: Both fighters are unranked.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "These are two guys I love watching fight. Bobbe has stepped up and fought anyone we've asked over the years, so he's being rewarded with this big chance. He has good wrestling, but he loves to bang, too. Yamai is still pretty new, but he gets better every time he's in there. He's capable of finishing guys on the ground and on the feet. Should be a great one."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Sadozai by third-round TKO.

VANYU XIONG VS DRAKO RODRIGUEZ

WEIGHT: 145.

RECORDS: Rodriguez is 10-0, while Xiong is 3-0.

MN RANKING: Rodriguez is from out of state, while Xiong is No. 10 at 145.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "I love it when a kid comes to me and asks for the toughest guy I can find for him, and that's what Vanyu did. He wanted a big test, and he'll get it here. Vanyu trains with Tom Schmitz at Spartan, and Tom loves to test his guys. Vanyu has great striking, and he keeps improving on the ground. Rodriguez, I don't know a ton, but he's coming up from Nebraska, and he's been running through people down there. This is a perfect final amateur fight, I expect major fireworks."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Xiong by third-round KO.

PRO UNDERCARD (non-televised)

LINSEY WILLIAMS VS CAMELLA JAMES

WEIGHT: 115.

RECORDS: Both fighters are 0-1.

MN RANKING: James is from out of state, and Williams is No. 2 in the women's division.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Linsey is still one of Minnesota's best female prospects, and she'll be looking to bounce back from a loss in her pro debut. Linsey has been fighting on the big stage a long time already, which makes it tough for a pro debut; she had to fight a beast right off the bat. She'll look to get back on track here. I don't know a ton about James, but her coaches speak highly of her. She's not coming here to lose, so I expect a good one."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Williams by third-round submission.

PRO MAIN CARD (AXS, 8 PM)

DAMION HILL VS. NATE JENNERMAN

WEIGHT: 145.

RECORDS: Hill is 12-7, while Jennerman is 8-2.

MN RANKING: Hill is ranked No. 4 at 155, while Jennerman is from out of state.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Damion stepped up on short notice, and I actually love this fight. Damion stepped up last time to take on Ben Neumann at 170, and Damion is naturally a 145-pounder. He makes 45 easily, so he had to literally gain weight to fight Ben. He's a devastating striker with good wrestling, a nasty combination. But Jennerman is a tough dude, just a guy who finds ways to win. He has a good chin and he's tough to finish. This should be a real war."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Hill by unanimous decision.

CAM OLSON VS JULIAN MARQUEZ

WEIGHT: 205.

RECORDS: Olson is 7-2, while Marquez is 4-1.

MN RANKING: Olson is No. 1 at 205, while Marquez is from out of state.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "This might be the low-key best fight on the card. People aren't talking about this one, but they should be. Cam Olson is becoming a fan favorite; he has heavy hands and he works very hard in the gym, so I find myself rooting for him. He has the ability to finish anyone. But Marquez has already fought on the biggest stages. He's a Bellator vet and a Combates Americas vet. He also has heavy hands. The winner of this fight really puts himself in a great spot in the 205 division. I can't wait for this one."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Olson by first-round KO.

JEFF PETERSON VS BOBBY LEE

WEIGHT: 155.

RECORDS: Peterson is 6-4, while Lee is 6-0.

MN RANKING: Peterson is from out of state, while Lee is No. 4 at 155.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "If people think Peterson is someone Bobby Lee is going to walk through, they're dead wrong. I think this is a way tougher fight for Bobby than anyone is saying. Peterson is very good, and he's taking the sport seriously now. He's at an elite gym, and he busts his butt. Just a humble dude who's coming to Minnesota to try to take out a prospect. Bobby is a great athlete; he has good wrestling and he continues to improve every fight. If he respects Peterson's skills, he'll be tough to beat."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Lee by split decision.

DAN MORET VS. BRANDON JENKINS

WEIGHT: 155.

RECORDS: Moret is 11-3, while Jenkins is 10-4.

MN RANKING: Moret is No. 3 at 145, while Jenkins is No. 5 at 155.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Jenkins stepped up on short notice to fill in for injured teammate Ashkan Morvari. He's a local kid who works at the casino, so he'll have plenty of fans there. Jenkins is very, very tough to finish. He can take a punch for sure. But he's more than that, he can beat guys on the ground and on the feet. Moret is a veteran, though, for sure. He's been in huge fights, including an RFA world title fight. He knows this is a win he needs, so I expect to see the best Dan Moret we've seen."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Moret by unanimous decision.

CHAD CURRY VS. KYLE KURTZ

WEIGHT: 170.

RECORDS: Kurtz is 7-4, while Curry is 8-1.

MN RANKING: Curry is No. 2 at 170, while Kurtz is from out of state.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "Kurtz stepped up on short notice. He's a very solid pro with a slick ground game. His wins are by submission, and he finds a way to get it done on the ground. But Curry trains with Mario Roberto, so I'm guessing it'd be a mistake to go to the ground with him. He's looking to get back on track here and start moving back toward a chance at the UFC and an LFA title fight."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Curry by first-round KO.

CULLY BUTTERFIELD VS. CHASE WALDON

WEIGHT: 185.

RECORDS: Butterfield is 14-5, while Waldon is 10-2.

MN RANKING: Waldon is No. 1 at 185, while Butterfield is No. 3.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "It's a huge fight for both guys. Chase is coming off a loss in a title fight, so I know he'll be hungry. And he trains with Tom Schmitz, and Tom always has his guys ready. But Cully trains with Duke Roufus, he's in the best shape of his life, and I've never seen him take MMA more seriously. He's a beast, strong, tough wrestler. Chase can bang with the best of them, though. If Cully gets it on the ground, he's in good shape. On the feet, Chase probably has the edge."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Butterfield by split decision.

DERRICK KRANTZ VS BEN NEUMANN

WEIGHT: 170, title fight.

RECORDS: Krantz is 19-9, while Neumann is 12-4.

MN RANKING: Krantz is from out of state, while Neumann is No. 3 at 170.

BJORNBERG'S THOUGHTS: "The last time Krantz came here, he knocked out legend Brock Larson. I'm sure he'll be looking for the same result this time, with a title on the line. Krantz is a kid who has heavy, heavy hands. If he clips you, you're falling down. But Ben Neumann continues to impress. He has elite on the ground, and his striking is not traditional, but it's getting better. He doesn't quit, and I know how hard he's worked for this opportunity. I'm sure some people are writing Ben off, but that's a mistake."

HAWKEYE FIGHTER PREDICTION: Krantz by fourth-round TKO.
